1. Web2.0: not sure why this term even became popular in the first place - but in my opinion has been the most widely used term by anyone who wanted to &quot;conform&quot;.

2. AJAX: this term made it glamorous to use a technique that has been around for much longer.

3. Social Network: hmm... who would have thought that a basic human behavioral pattern would one day be so sought after by the technical community.

4. plugin: this one is almost become a fashionable term. You better have a plugin for something or else be subject to ridicule.
