I guess it is applicable to most everyone. But programmers have shown this amazing ability to rise to levels of jerkdom which both quantitatively and qualitatively sets them apart from the average population sometimes I suspect substantially :)

But seriously, I suspect it is not relevant to programmers alone, just that the original blog post from Scott Berkun referred to programmers, and I just continued from there.</description>
