What are the parameters to compare between Windows and Linux. And how officially or with the help of any case study we can put it on paper. This question get more tough to answer when any application is live in production on Windows server and we would wish to migrate it to Linux. E.g. We have application on IBM MQ/WAS and Java 1.5 I have often asked the question that “Why linux and not Windows?”. What are the parameters to compare between Windows and Linux.
